LAGOS – Investors at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday staked N3.06 billion on 317.158 million shares in 5,098 deals.
The volume of transactions represented 25.97 per cent increase over the 251.758 million shares worth N3 billion traded in 5,692 deals on Tuesday.
Unity Bank emerged the most traded equity, accounting for 114.03 million shares valued at N57.02 million.
Transcorp came second on the activity with 27.77 million shares worth N160.71 million, while Sky Bank accounted for 23.70 million shares valued N77.03 million.
FBN Holdings traded 18.03 million shares worth N291.38 million, while Oando Oil exchanged a total of 17.28 million shares valued at N466.33 million.
The NSE All-Share Index improved by 58.71 points or 0.13 per cent to close at 43,030.27 as against the 42,971.56 achieved on Tuesday.

Similarly, the market capitalisation rose by N19 billion or 0.13 per cent to close at N14.208 trillion from the N14.189 trillion posted on Tuesday.
Nestle recorded the highest price gain of N12.9 to close at N1,124.9 per share.
It was followed by Total Oil, which gained N8.55 to close at N179.6, while Mobil appreciated by N7 to close at N147.15 per share.
Nigerian Breweries chalked up N4.58 to close at N176.8, while Lafarge Wapco rose by N2.25 to close at N119.85 per share.
Conversely, Julius Berger led the losers’ chart by N2.72 to close at N64.28 per share.
Oando Oil trailed with a loss of N1.13 to close at N26.57, while Dangote Cement dropped 99k to close at N240 per share.
NNFM depreciated by 98k to close at N18.77 and CAP dipped 85k to close at N40.1 per share. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
