Jonathan appoints Alkali as Special Adviser on Political Affairs

ABUJA – President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday appointed Prof. Rufa’i Alkali as his Special Adviser on Political Affairs.
The appointment is contained in a press release by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati.
Abati said the President also appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools Agriculture Programme.
He added that the appointments were with immediate effect.
Alkali, political scientist, who hails from Gombe State, had served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2013.
On her part, Sani was Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture. (NAN)
