President Bola Tinubu has mandated the distribution of additional relief measures to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents to alleviate the impact of rising living costs following the removal of fuel subsidies.
The Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, revealed this during an urgent meeting with stakeholders on March 6. Mahmoud emphasized the need for transparent distribution committees, addressing concerns about the recent warehouse attack in Gwagwa.
The FCT chairman of traditional rulers, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, pledged to ensure cooperation among the committee members, including representatives from area councils, emergency management, traditional rulers, security forces, faith-based organizations, and other key groups.
