Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna State has lost a Prince and District Head of Ikara LGA, Engineer Aminu Umar.
Confirming his death in a statement, Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, Head Media and Publicity, Zazzau Emirate, said the deceased had participated in the Hawan Daushe Sallah Durbar in Zaria on Friday and was one of the district heads that paid the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, a Sallah homage.
According to the statement, “He died after participating in all the Sallah durbar and other Eid-el-Fitr activities.”
Late Umar, who is a descendant of late Emir Dalhat from the Barebari ruling dynasty of Zazzau Emirate, is married with wives and many children.
He was onetime Chief Executive Officer of the Kaduna State Water Board.
The late District Head had since been buried according to Islamic rites at Amaru in Zaria City.
