Kano state govt. trains 1,000 traditional barbers

Kano – Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State, says his administration has trained 1,000 traditional barbers on modern barbing techniques.

Kwankwaso, who made the announcement on Thursday in Kano during the graduation of the trainees, said the training was organised to financially empower the barbers.

He added that the training was organised under the Lafiya Jari scheme to empower youths in the state.

The governor said that each of the trainees would receive N30, 000 as economic empowerment package.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]

He urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the training to improve their standard of living.

In his remark, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran, thanked the governor for organising the training and urged the beneficiaries to share the knowledge with others.

He also urged them to make the best use of the knowledge they acquired during the training to become self-reliant. ((NAN)
