Kafanchan – Mrs. Comfort Amwe, winner of the Sanga Constituency seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has promised to pay special attention to human capital development when sworn in.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), recalls that Amwe, the PDP candidate, floored the incumbent, Haliru Dangana of the APC, after garnering
21,625 to his 19,830.
Amwe, in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Gwantu, thanked her supporters for their doggedness which ensured her victory.
“This is victory for our party and the entire people of Sanga local government. We are determined to make life more meaningful for our people, especially the the rural dwellers.
“We shall pursue bills that when passed, will have direct bearing on the overall well-being of the people,” she said.
She noted that the election, which came with its peculiar challenges, was eventually void of rancor and civil unrest
“I must commend the entire people of Sanga for conducting themselves peacefully during and after the exercise. We hope this same attitude will be sustained,” she said.
Amwe urged all stakeholders to rally round the present administration so that the constituents and the entire state would grow to the desired height.
