Lagos – The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) on Thursday appealed to consumers in Lekki and its environs over power outage in the areas.
Mr Godwin Idemudia, Assistant General Manager, Head , Corporate Communication, EKEDC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the blackout was due to a faulty 15mva transformer.
Idemudia said that the company engineers were working on the transformer.
“I want to appeal to our consumers in Lekki area that the present outage in the area was due to a faulty transformer and our engineers are currently working on it.
“The power supply will be restored to the affected areas by June 6,” he said.
He urged consumers not to vandalise EKEDC equipment in their communities because of outages. (NAN)
