Kogi State University Lecturers Suspend 2-Month Old Strike

Kogi State University (KSU) striking lecturers have suspended industrial action. strike has been ongoing for months and following this suspension strike, the school will resume academic activities.

would be recalled workers embarked on strike when chairman SSANU, KSU chapter, Comrade Moses Balogun, said workers were suffering from poor welfare and gross mismanagement had reduced the quality learning the institution.

Balogun added the unions had signed an agreement with the government 2009 over the improvement of workers welfare but the government was yet to act on .

The striking workers had agreed to call off the industrial action after representatives of the  Union Government (SUG) of the school appealed to them to do so.
