Kubwa residents urged to store water


Abuja  –  The FCT Administration has called on residents of Kubwa to store water to avoid hardship as the Water Board is set to repair its faulty facility.

This is contained in a statement signed by Muhammad Sule, Deputy Director/Chief Press Secretary to the FCT, made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.

The statement said there was a major pipe burst at Railway Terminal, KM 19 by Dantata Estate Town Developers, Kubwa.

The statement further said the Permanent Secretary of FCT, Mr John Chukwu, has directed its immediate repairs to ensure the continuous supply of clean potable water to all the residents of the territory.

“As a result of this unfortunate development, the residents of Kubwa Satellite Town will experience disruption of water supply from Thursday, Nov. 5, to Sunday, Nov. 7, 2015’’, the statement said.

It said Chukwu advised the residents living in Kubwa area to store water to avoid any hardship, as the authorities would work assiduously to restore normal water supply on or before Sunday, Nov. 7.

“The FCT Administration regrets the inconveniences this disruption may cause the residents of the affected area’’, the statement said. (NAN)
