KANO – Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State on Thursday distributed motorcycles to 487 extension agents as part of efforts to resuscitate agricultural extension services in the state.
Presenting the motorcycles to beneficiaries in Kano, Kwankwaso urged them to use the machines for the right purpose.
“You must use these motorcycles to reach farmers in the remotest areas with agricultural extension services and information,” he said. [eap_ad_1] In his speech, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Nasiru Gawuna, thanked the governor for the gesture and urged the beneficiaries to make best use of the motorcycles.
One of the beneficiaries, Mallam Ali Sani, also thanked the governor for the gesture and promised to use the motorcycles for the purpose they were provided. (NAN)
