Lagos bans Opay, Gokada, Okadas, tricyles

Commercial , popularly called Okada,Opay and Gokada, and tricycles, known as Keke Napep, have been banned by State Government operating in 15 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Centres .

They are also banned operating bridges and highways.

In a press briefing by the for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotosho Monday, the government said the full enforcement the ban would commence February 1, 2020.

The stated that Okada, Gokada and Oride have been restricted operating in 15 Local Governments and Local Council Development Centres. They are Apapa, Apapa Iganmu, Mainland, Yaba, Surulere, Itire Ikate, Coker Aguda, Eti-Osa, Island, Ikeja, Onigbonbo, Ojodu, Ikoyi-Obalende, Iru Ikoyi-Obalende and Island East.
