LAGOS – The Police in Lagos on Wednesday assured residents and fun seekers of maximum security for the Lagos Countdown.
The Spokesman of the state Police command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
The countdown that is holding at the Bar beach, Ahmadu Bello way, Victoria Island, Lagos, kicked off on Dec. 19 and was slated to end in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2015.
“There has been adequate presence of police at the venue since the event kicked off.
“You will see the police patrol vehicles parked at the nooks and crannies to ensure maximum security at the venue,” Nwosu said.
He said that the same strategy used in ensuring a hitch-free yuletide had been adopted to make the event a successful one.

“The same strategy we used to ensure that Lagos residents had a hitch-free yuletide is what we are using.
