Lagos – An upcoming movie, “Lagos Real Fake Life” received rave reviews from critics, influencers and others on Friday, after a private screening in Lagos.
After the screening, movie buffs and critics expressed their views about the movie in a series of interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the event.
The screening took place at the Palms Mall, Lekki.
Mrs Adenike Adebayo, a movie critic, urged the public especially the youths to see the movie.
“The movie is really good and I was laughing all through, but the good thing about it is that it passes a message.
“There are lots of people that live a lot of fake lifestyles and this is just the right movie to address that trend because it is becoming unbearable.
“It has a lot of comic relief but also passes a lot of messages to the public, especially the youths in our present society,”she said.
In the same vein, Mr Dapo Babatope, a blogger, also commended the casting of the movie.
“I must really commend the cast of the movie because having so many popular actors and actresses to appear in a single movie is a huge task.
“Managing their various views, concepts and egos is not an easy thing to do, so the director must be commended for this.
“Most importantly, it addresses the issues of fake lifestyles which is popular in the country at the moment,” he said.
Mr Ayomide Badejo, a blogger, noted that the movie cuts across various ethnic groups and backgrounds.
“One of the unique things about this movie is that various major languages were spoken in the movie so it would cut across to many people.
“The movie is diverse so different people with various ethnic colouration and culture will still understand the message that the movie is passing across.
“This is a movie that everyone must see, when it is finally out in the cinemas,” he said.
NAN reports that the movie is based on two main characters, Mike Ezuruonye and Nonso Diobi, who played Chidi and Emeka, who lived fake lifestyles to deceive people for their selfish gain.
