ONITSHA – Rep. Afam Ogene (APGA – Ogbaru), on Monday urged residents of the area to obtain their voter cards as that would enable them to elect their choice candidate as president in 2015.

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Presidential Election to hold on Feb. 15, 2015. [eap_ad_1] Ogene, made the call after a meeting of the Ogbaru Political Stakeholders Forum in Ogbaru, near Onitsha in Anambra.

“The reason I have been in Ogbaru in the over past four days, apart from consultations, is also to mobilise the people to carry out their civic responsibility.

“So, people have been coming, even travelling down from far places such as Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja to pick-up their cards.

“And I praise the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for extending the exercise by two days; that would actually give people more time to pick-up their cards.

“And those that have come of age would also register later this week,“ he said.
