Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Social Media, Pastor Reno Omokri has confronted Senator Ali Ndume with the alleged lies he peddled against Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, assuring him that those lies will continue to worry and disturb him.
Reno stated this during his tweets chat with Senator Ali Ndume which he made public on his twitter handle @renoomokri on Monday.
Reno engaged Senator Ndume on twitter following the headline in one of the national dailies of Sunday, 9th July 2017, (not Sundiata post) credited to Senator Ndume to the effect that fresh Boko Haram attacks in Borno is disturbing and worrisome.
Surprised by Senator Ndume’s comments, Reno reminded the senator how he praised President Buhari for defeating Boko Haram and wondered why Ndume should be lamenting about Boko Haram attack.
According to Reno, “In today’s paper, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume who once praised President Muhammadu Buhari for “defeating” Boko Haram now says he is worried about the “worrisome” dimensions of Boko Haramb attack! In fact, Ndume says he is disturbed! I am also disturbed too. My disturbance is based on this: How can people who have been “defeated” now increase the tempo of their attacks to “worrisome” and “disturbing” levels Senator? You see sir, lies have expiry date and the lies you told againt Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will continue to “worry” and “disturb” you.
In his reply, Senator Ndume said: “I really thought of not responding to your comments but the fact that you remain one of the few beneficiaries of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration that still stand by him. He was an innocent weak President that most of the people around him explored for their personal interest”.
Reno added, “Mohammed Ali Ndume, what you said about Goodluck Jonathan may or may not be true, but what I said about you is true. You praised Muhammadu Buhari for defeating BokoHaram. I can give you the date when you said it. And in today’ paper you are lamenting about Boko Haram attacks. So Senator, let uws stick with these facts. If I have lied, Please expose me.
Sundiata Post recalls that Senator Ali Ndume has on Sunday in Vanguard Newspapers, expressed deep concern over the resurgence of Boko Haram attacks in Borno, describing the situation as “worrisome”.
Senator Ndume further said, “If I were at the Senate Chambers, I would have moved a motion to invite those concerned to explain the recent events to the National Assembly”.
Adding that the explanation would have been crucial because the security agencies might be facing challenges not known to those outside.
“May be they have challenges of funds; or logistics. It would be useful to know their concerns,” he said.
