Abuja – A middle-aged man, Emeka Ejike has been sentenced to six weeks imprisonment by a Gudu Upper Area Court in the Federal Capital Territory for stealing designer shoes.
Ejike pleaded guilty to the two count charges of criminal trespass and theft, contrary to section 348 and 287 of the penal code, laws of the Federation.

He appealed to the court to tender justice with mercy, begging that he would not repeat such an act again.
The Judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko gave the convict an option of a N6,000 fine, and also warned him to desist from engaging in criminal acts.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Urom Inah told the court that one Tina Amos of shop 102, Ado Bayero block, Garki International market, had reported the matter at the Garki police station.
Inah said the accused person had criminally entered her shop, pretending to be a customer and stole a pair of designer shoes, which he hid inside his shirt before it was discovered and reported to the police. (NAN)
