Nigerian-American artiste Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has shared how his American passport has facilitated his international travel experiences.
In an interview with Omega, he said that possessing the blue passport has given him an advantage over his band members when it comes to obtaining visas.
Davido, who was born in Atlanta, expressed his gratitude for his American nationality and likened the value of his passport to that of a million dollars.
The renowned singer explained that his American background was not widely known until he achieved fame.
Many people initially believed he resided solely in Nigeria, but as his career progressed, they discovered his connection to Alabama and the time he spent in college there.
Despite this revelation, Davido affirmed his deep-rooted association with the Nigerian culture and expressed his pride in his Nigerian identity.
Davido highlighted the significance of his American passport, emphasising that its value transcends monetary worth.
He asserted that regardless of one’s wealth, the privileges and benefits that come with possessing the blue passport cannot be understated.
