The National Examination Council, NECO has released its 2016 June/July results. The 2016 statistics of how the candidates performed has also been made available to the general public and the candidates who took part in the Jun/July examination. The result shows that about 88.51% had 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics.

The Registrar of the body Prof. Charles Uwakwe made the announcement of the release of the 2016 June/July result at the headquarters in Minna, Niger state. He announced the new examination record obtained this year which shows that 88.51 per cent had 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics.
1,022,474 candidates sat for the examination and 905,011 had 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics making a reocrd of 88.51 per cent, while 84.54 per cent got credit and above in English Language and 80.16 per cent got credit and above in Mathematics.
He compare the stat performance of the examination in 2015 87.51% and 2016 which showed a one percent improvement in the performance of candidates this year 88.51%.
The Registrar condemned those candidates and schools caught in the act of examination malpractice, adding that the results of those candidates had been cancelled.
