This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Manzo Ezekiel, Press Officer of NEMA, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.
The statement said the measure was part of the initiatives to support the victims of insurgency.

It said the displaced persons were now in Maiduguri and were being accommodated at the Teachers Village Estate, where NEMA was providing them with basic support in collaboration with Borno Government.
It said that the creation of the new camp brought to 11, the number of camps in which NEMA had been supporting the IDPs with food and non-food items.
The statement said the other IDPs whom were from other towns and villages that had been previously attacked by the insurgents were in the other camps.
“The NEMA special intervention team is led by the Director of Search and Rescue and is to join the staff at its Zonal office in Maiduguri to strengthen the humanitarian intervention,’’ it said.
