Lagos – Nestle Nig. Ltd., on Monday said that it would continue to support grassroots’ sports with its products.
Dharnesh Gordhon, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the company, made the promise at the unveiling of the new “Milo with Activ-Go’’. ,
He said that the company, a proud supporter of grassroots sports development had sponsored sports championship for many years.
He said that for 17 years, the company had sponsored the Nestle Milo Basketball Championships and had created another platform to develop youths in the U-13 football championships.
“Another of our sports development platform is the Nestle Milo Football clinic in collaboration with Nigeria’s ex-international, Peter Rufai, which moves from city to city, bringing together thousands of football talents,’’ he said .
According to him, Milo is the energy food drink for future champions.
“And it has helped tremendously to nourish the aspirations of mothers for their children ensuring they grow up successfully.
“I am particularly proud of the innovation that went into the new Milo Active-Go which we are presenting today.
“It is a unique blend of vitamins and minerals that helps the individual to achieve the Milo promise.
“The promise of energy when you need it most and the inspiration that guarantees the victory on the road to success,’’ Gordhon said.

He promised that the company would continue to leverage on its understanding about nutrition and the innovation and renovation of products to deliver better quality life to the public.
