Abeokuta – A Non-Government Organisation (NGO), the Kind Pulse Foundation, on Thursday donated food items to over 400 children in Ijemo Community in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun.

Moyosoluwa Adekoya, Founder of the NGO, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta after the distribution of the items,

Adekoya said that it was important to identify and cater for the less privileged in the society.

She explained that the Foundation had demonstrated love and kindness to fellow human being as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

She said that the main purpose of the Foundation was to restore, rekindle the hope of the masses, vulnerable and the indigenes among others.

“As a Christian, this is only one thing that Christ wants us to do. Christ wants us to love one another and to reach out to one another.

“We are expecting to reach out to about 400 children today and we have prepared them with different food items like noodles, drinks, jollof rice and chicken, together with face masks.

“We are restoring their hope in humanity and we want everyone to join us so that we can reach out to them. They are hopeless and we need to give them reason while they are alive.

“We have the vision. Most of the time, I reached out to my friends, especially on social media, they have been very much supportive.

“Usually they support and donate and God has been faithful. We can have more sponsors as well,” Adekoya said.

She pointed out that the Foundation had also in the past, donated items to patients in Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Aro in Abeokuta, saying that the gesture would move to other communities within the state.

She appealed to well-to-do individuals, philanthropists and corporate organisations to also key into such gesture, saying that government alone could not do it.

She, however, called on both the Federal and State Governments to make living conditions easy for the masses, by making available necessary infrastructure that would meet the needs of the people.
