Abuja (Sundiata Post) – International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) President, Dr Bernard Aliu has stressed the need to ensure appropriate regulatory framework to ensure Nigeria participates in the remotely piloted aircraft system innovation in a safe and efficient Manner .
Dr Aliu said this during a courtesy call to the minister of state for aviation during a courtesy call . Aliu who was accompanied by the Nigerian representative to ICAO, Captain Muss Nuhu thanked the Federal government for hosting the first RPAS symposium in Africa.
He however warned that if not properly regulated it could be used for unlawful interference.
The Minister of state for aviation, Hadi Sirika assured the President that plans are ongoing to achieve all recommendations adding that the university is already underway.
He commended the ICAO President for putting Nigeria in the center of the global map for aviation
