NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NNPC E&P Ltd), the upstream flagship subsidiary of NNPC Ltd, in collaboration with Natural Oilfield Services Ltd (NOSL), a subsidiary of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Ltd (SEEPCO), has announced the successful initiation of oil production at Oil Mining Lease (OML) 13 in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
The production, which commenced on May 6, 2024, with an initial output of 6,000 barrels of oil, is slated to increase to 40,000 barrels per day by May 27, 2024.
This milestone marks a significant achievement in the partnership between NNPC E&P Ltd and NOSL, underscoring their commitment to fostering growth and progress in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, a pivotal element of the nation’s economy.
