LAGOS – The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) on Monday said that the body had not taken any decision on the date and venue for its elective Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Tunde Popoola, the Sectary General of NOC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the decision would be taken at the board meeting on Oct. 15. [eap_ad_1] “The date for the election into the board of NOC has yet to be fixed because it involves a collective decision of all the executives on the form the election should take.
“The election will definitely hold in November, that I am sure of but the date has yet to be decided.
“Part of the things to be decided at the Oct. 15 meeting is the venue and date of the election,’’ Popoola said.
He said that the four-year term of the present executive would elapse in November.
“There is no need to rush the electoral process.
“The present executives’ four-year term hasn’t ended and they are still actively involved with the matters concerning sports.
“There’s no need to rush things, regarding the electoral process,’’ he said.
