NUT calls on Adamawa teachers to re-elect Bindow

By Martins Abochol

Adamawa – Mr Rodney Nathan, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Adamawa Chapter, has urged teachers in the state to vote Gov. Mohammed Bindow for continuity.

Nathan made the call on Wednesday while reacting to the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari, winner of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Election.

He stressed the need to re-elect the incumbent governor to implement more of his teacher-friendly policies

Nathan said that the full implementation of teachers’ retirement age would be assured with Bindow coming back for another term.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Committee (INEC) and the security agencies for ensuring peaceful conduct of the election.

The chairman appealed to Buhari to consider his victory as victory for Nigerians and continue with his good work for the transformation of Nigeria.

“I congratulate Buhari for his well-deserved victory in the presidential election,’’ he said.

He also congratulated Nigerians for their peaceful conduct during the poll.
