Akure – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State on Tuesday congratulated Mr Ifedayo Abegunde on his appointment as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
APC described the appointment as a call to service.
Abayomi Adesanya, the Publicity Secretary of APC in the state, said in a statement in Akure that the impressive pedigree and antecedents of Abegunde put him in good stead to succeed in this capacity.
Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu, had on Monday, appointed Abegunde, a former member of House of Representatives as SSG.
He also announced the appointment of Mr Olugbenga Ale as Chief of Staff (CoS) and Mr Tosin Ogunbodede as Chief of Protocol (CoP).
Adesanya described these appointments as well deserved and urged the appointees not to see the appointment as reward for loyalty, but as service to the people of the state.
He advised the appointees to discharge their duties “with diligence, total commitment and without fear or favour.’’
“As a party, we wish to also congratulate Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for painstakingly choosing these individuals because they are round pegs in round holes,” Adesanya said.
