Geneva – UN mediator Staffan De Mistura, has promised to provide information regarding the resumption of Geneva talks on war-torn Syria on Friday evening.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
The UN envoy said on Thursday in Geneva that the mediating countries would resume peace talks between the Syrian government and opposition.
He said it was agreed that the conflict parties would sign up to the ceasefire plan developed by the U.S. and Russia.
De Mistura said a task force of global and regional powers is scheduled to meet in Geneva on Friday afternoon to work on details of the ceasefire, which would be followed by a UN Security Council meeting in New York. (dpa/NAN)
