Enugu – The Police in Enugu on Wednesday arraigned two brothers, Emeka and Sunday Nwafor and two other accomplices at Enugu High Court for allegedly snatching a Toyota Camry car belonging to one Mr Nnamdi Ezeaka.
The Investigative Police Officer, Mr Emeka Kowonye, told the court that the suspects specialised in snatching cars from their victims.
He said that suspects snatched Ezeaka’s car at a grocery shop, abducted him briefly and later released him wihout his car.
Kowonye said that the two brothers were arrested on July 2012 by officers attached to New Haven Police Station.
He said that the case was later transferred to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Enugu for investigation.
Kowonye said that a tracking device installed in the car assisted the police in tracing it to Ebonyi.

“We traced the car to Ebonyi State where one Chibeze Akpege, a mechanic was arrested in his workshop as he was cannibalsing the engine.
Kowonye said that assorted plate numbers were recovered at the workshop, adding that the Akpege was charged for armed robbery and conspiracy.
The presiding judge, Justice Catherine Nwobodo adjourned the case till May 5, 2016 for continuation of hearing while the suspects were remanded in prison custody. (NAN)
