Warsaw – Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo is to work from her hospital bed for the time being, Rafael Bochenek, her spokesperson said.
Bochenek said that Szydlo is “stable’’ and “under control’’ following a Friday night car crash.
“Nothing serious’’ happened to the 53-year-old prime minister.
“However, it remains unclear when she will be released from hospital,” Bochenek said.
Syzdlo was brought to the hospital on Friday after her vehicle struck a tree while trying to avoid a collision with a Fiat.
The driver, who was identified as a 21-year-old man, has reportedly admitted being at fault.
Syzdlo’s driver and a bodyguard were also reportedly injured in the accident.
