Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja met behind closed doors with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dogara and Tambuwal, who came into the Presidential Villa together in the Speaker’s official car, refused to comment on the outcome of their meeting with the President.
Tambuwal, who avoided questions from State House correspondents, however, dismissed the assertion that the meeting discussed the political misunderstanding between the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.
He said “no, I don’t know about that.’’
The meeting, which took place in the President’s office, lasted for about 43 minutes.
NAN reports that President Buhari had earlier met behind closed doors with visiting Indian Vice-President, Hamid Ansari.
