BEIJING – Chinese ambassador to Malaysia on behalf of the Red Cross Society of China handed over a cheque of 100,000 dollars to the Malaysian Red Crescent to help recent flood victims.

Amb. Huang Huikang disclosed this during the donation ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Huang said that the Chinese people were concerned about the serious flood occurred recently in Malaysia for Malaysia has a long friendship with China.

“The Malaysian people in the distressed areas are not alone, because the Chinese people will stand by them and face the difficulties together with them,’’ he said.

He added that he hoped their normal life would be resumed as soon as possible.

The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia has recently donated 50,000 dollars to three states of Malaysia, among which 30,000 dollars went to the worst-hit Terengganu, and 10,000 dollars to Kelantan and Pahang, respectively. (Xinhua/NAN)
