School In Daura Graduates 41 Qur’anic Memorisers

Daura (Katsina), – An Islamic school, Madarasatul Ulil Ahbab has graduated 41 students on Qur’anic memorisation in Daura, Katsina State.

The Headmaster of the school, Malam Ibrahim Ahmad said this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during the 4th graduation ceremony of the school on Wednesday.

He said that out of the 41 graduating students, one is a married woman, 29 males and 11 females.

The headmaster urged the graduating students to be law abiding and good ambassadors of the school.

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Daura, Prof. Aliyu Mamman who recited some verses of the Holy Qur’an with the students, enjoined them to pray for peace in the country.

Mamman called on them to utilise the knowledge acquired by leading an exemplary life and avoiding immoral acts such as drug abuse, banditry and other un-Islamic practices.

Alhaji Aminu Jamo, All Progressives Congress candidate for Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua federal constituency, commended the school and pledged to support it.

“I will continue to support the quest for both Islamic and western education for the development of the society,” he added.

One of the graduating students, Habiba Abdulrahman, expressed gratitude to God for successfully memorising the Holy Qur’an.

She urged her colleagues to practice what they had learnt so as to lead an exemplary life.

NAN reports that the school has so far graduated 365 students who specialised in reading and memorizing the Qur’an. (NAN)
