Abuja – Senator Alkali Jajere has advised Muslims to seek proper knowledge of reciting Qur’an to earn reward in this world and the hereafter.
Jajere made the call at the public presentation of a book titled; “ Reciter’s Guide on the Knowledge of Tajweed, “ written by Malam Yahuza Jada on Saturday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the book focused on the knowledge of Tajweed (reciting Qur’an) in English Language as narrated by Hats.
The former senator, who represented Yobe South, stressed the need for Muslims parents and guardians to expose their children to the knowledge of reciting of the Holy Qur’an at the early stage of their lives.

According to Jajere, if a child was acquainted with proper knowledge of the Qur’an at the early stage of his life, it will guide his behaviour and relationship with people in the society.
He also called on all Muslims to create time out of their busy scheduled to acquire knowledge with a view to understanding the rudiments of memorising and reciting the Qur’an.
Jajere said the book would contribute immensely to simplifying and understanding the knowledge of the Qur’an and indeed the teaching of Islam.
Reviewing the book, the Chief Imam, National Assembly Quarters Mosque, Sheik Muhammad Khalid, recommended the book to all the Department of Islamic Studies in the Nigerian Universities.
He commended the author for choosing to write the book in English language, adding that there were limited books on reciting Qur’an written in English language in Nigeria.
The author of the book, Jada said that what inspired him to write the book was the request from the people of Bilal Mosque, Kubwa in FCT.
According to him, the request is due to limited books of Tajweed in the aforementioned language, which will help to simplify understanding the knowledge of the Holy Qur’an.
Jada expressed optimism that the book would be beneficial to whoever goes through it with an open mind. (NAN)
