Badagry – Sen. Olamilekan Adeola, has assured residents of Badagry that the ongoing projects in the division would be completed soon.
Adeola gave the assurance on Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the celebration of the 80th birthday of the Akran of Badagry, De Wholu Aholu Menu-Toyi 1.
He said that tourism in the city would receive a boost as projects were being carried out to turn Badagry to a mega city.
“There are several ongoing projects that are happening in the city and by the time they are completed, they would put the city at par with other administrative divisions.
“The ten-lane expressway that would end in Badagry would also open the city and give it its real status as the hub of tourism in the country.
“When it comes to tourism, there is no other place that beats Badagry.So, everything would fall in place as soon as the projects are completed.
“This administration would transform the city into a mega one as we are committed to improving the lives of people in the area,’’ the law maker said.
Adeola, who represents Lagos West Senatorial District, said that the deep sea project would be completed in specific time.
“The deep sea project is slated to be completed in five years and it would not exceed that time frame because we are determined to open up this area to international trade.
“Also, the project would help in easing out unemployment issues in the area as it would create employment for the graduates who would be gainfully employed.
“We are committed to easing out the pain of the common man.So, we are putting things in place to ensure that,’’ he said.
Adeola urged the public to support the present administration to help in improving the economy of the country.
