Barcelona president, Josep Bartomeu has insisted that signing of Luis Suarez will not have any negative consequences for Lionel Messi.

Club icon Johan Cruyff recently criticised Catalans’ decision to lure the Uruguay international to La Liga and question-marks have been raised over whether the former Liverpool star is compatible with Messi and Neymar.

Nevertheless, Bartomeu is confident that Messi will continue to thrive with 27-year- next to him, stressing that it is not first time the Argentina international will partner up with a traditional forward.[eap_ad_2]

“With Suarez, we signed best forward was available on market.”
