Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Plateau State People’s Democratic Party Organising Secretary, Yakubu Gwot Chocho has alleged that the All Progressive Congress (APC), are skimming to manipulate the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement to their favour.

Chocho said the recent statement of an APC stalwart who said that “when we get to the Supreme Court, they will not know who we know”, is enough evidence to indicate that the opposition party is doing all within its power to manipulate the Supreme Court judgement. https://sundiatapost.com/supreme-court-beacon-of-hope-for-plateau-citizens-gov-mutfwang/

The PDP statesman who stated this at the weekend in Jos expressed confidence that no matter what game the APC is playing, Governor Caleb Mutfwang will emerge victorious at the Court.

He said the Appeal Court result was given in error because the Governor won at the election tribunal, adding that the Supreme Court will look at the matter professionally and give the right judgement.

According to him: “Pre-election matters are not entertained by the election tribunals and that of Governor Mutfwang cannot be different.

“What is the structure, has PDP been deregistered at the national level? Every political party is registered at the national level through the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), and today somebody is saying that we don’t have structure? https://sundiatapost.com/appeal-court-judgment-plateau-gov-mutfwang-calls-for-calm-heads-to-supreme-court/

“Every aspirant goes to his or her national party headquarters to purchase a form before contesting elections. Also, for every primary election contested, it is the national headquarters of the party that sends officials to conduct and monitor the elections.

“Mutfwang and the rest of all the PDP elected candidates, did not do anything differently from the stipulated party guidelines. So we are confident that the Supreme Court will look at these facts judiciously and do what is expected of them.

“It is obvious that the PDP won the elections in the State. In the entire country, there was no election victory that was celebrated like that of Mutfwang and the Plateau PDP. So the people have spoken and we know the Court will respect the voices and wishes of the people”, Chocho said.
