Dar Es Salaam – Tanzania’s year-on-year headline inflation rate accelerated in May to5.2 percent, up from 5.1 percent in April, the statistics office data showed on Friday.
The data showed that the surge was due to a surge in non-food inflation which climbed to 3.8 percent from 3.5 percent in the same period
But the month-on-month inflation remained unchanged at 0.5 per cent. (Reuters/NAN)
