Tension in Imo as PDP, APGA billboards are destroyed

There appears to be a tensed atmosphere in Imo state, following the enormous destruction of billboards initiated by loyalists of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Obowo and Njaba local council areas of the state.

It was observed that only the billboards erected by loyalists of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, were still in their position in Obowo, as at the time of this report.

Confirming the ugly development, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho’s media aide, Barr. Emperor Iwuala, described it as “most unfortunate and a very crooked way of expressing power”. [eap_ad_2] “The destruction of bill boards erected for gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho, in Obowo and Njaba local government areas of the state, is not only most unfortunate, but a very crooked way of expressing power”. He said

Iwuala showed his disapproval at the rate political rivals were becoming intolerant, stating that “the destruction of the billboards was a strong indication that his principal has an intimidating political profile”.

“The destruction of the billboards cannot deter our principal in his call to run for the 2015 Governorship Election in Imo State, and it is attracting sympathy to him and invariably, making him more popular”. He added.

Responding also to this, a legal practitioner, Barr. Zach Okoronkwo, described it as “crude politics of terrorism”, stating that those in power should realize that the beauty of democracy is the ”presence of viable opposition”. (DailyPost)[eap_ad_3]
