Tinubu Colloquium, EFCC Anti-Corruption Summit Hold Tuesday

Abuja (Sundiata Post) — The 9th Annual Bola Tinubu Colloquium will hold on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Similarly, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will host a two-day National Anti-Corruption Stakeholders Summit, beginning from next Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

Tinubu Colloquium, a yearly event, usually attended by dignitaries from home and abroad, is held in commemoration of the birthday of former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Although Tinubu’s 65th birthday comes up on Wednesday, March 29, the colloquium holds on Tuesday, a day before the birthday.

According to a statement by Tinubu Media Office on Thursday, and signed by Tunde Rahman, the theme of this year’s colloquium: “Use What We Make, Make What We Use”.

The event is slated to start at 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, the EFCC summit, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. daily, will hold at the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja.

The theme of the summit is: “Building National Anti-Corruption Consensus in a Multi-Agency Environment”.

According to a statement by the EFCC, “The summit, which would engage a host of stakeholders, is geared towards addressing pertinent national issues such as: the Federal Government’s Whistle-Blowers Policy, Asset Forfeiture and Management, as well as the promotion of effective inter-agency collaboration”.
