KANO – A fish seller in Kano, Malam Audu Mamman, has called on the Kano State Government to establish modern fish ponds in the state.
He made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Saturday.
The catfish seller, who operates at Yankura Market in Kano metropolis, said the call was necessary “in order to boost the current booming business in the state.

“If government can establish fish ponds and give our members loans, it will go a long way in boosting our business’’, he said.
According to him, providing loan facility to fish sellers would enable them to purchase modern facilities in addition to getting decent places for operating the business.
“We have many members in the state but many of us cannot afford to get the necessary facilities or even places to conduct the business because of the current economic situation. (NAN)
