Sundiata Post – Ligue 1 club, Olympic Lyon have announced the signing of Gift Orban for €12m.

The Nigerian joined the former Ligue 1 champions from Belgian Pro League outfit, KAA Gent.

Orban signed a contract until June 30, 2028

The 21-year-old spent one-and-a-half seasons with Gent.

The powerful striker linked up with the Buffalos from Norwegian second division club, Stabaek in January 2023.

Orban scored 20 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions for Gent in the second half of last season.

He is the first Nigerian to sign for Olympic Lyon
