The decision to call off the action was announced, after a meeting between representatives of the state government and the leadership of NARTO in Yenagoa.
A joint communiqué issued at the end the meeting also called on the leadership of the NARTO to submit all the necessary legal instruments to the state government for proper recognition, as well as the protection of its operations.
The communiqué was signed on behalf of government by the Chief of Staff, (Government House), Talford Ongolo, and Zonal Chairman of NARTO, Sam Akano.
Both parties agreed to always resort to dialogue in resolving disputes in order not to cause hardship to the members of the public.
