Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), has warned the All Progressives Congress to be wary of former governor of Ebonyi State, Mr. Martin Elechi who has just pitched tent with the party, describing him as a man of unsteady character.
The State Chairman of the party, Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi handed down the warning in Abakaliki on Tuesday while reacting to recent media attack launched by Elechi against Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), and Governor David Umahi.
Sundiata Post recalls that Elechi who visited the national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun last week to officially inform him of his decision to join the party, gave impunity, corruption, lack of respect for democracy, and insensitivity to public opinion as reason for leaving the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
While replying Elechi, the State Chairman of the party, Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi warned the All Progressive Congress (APC), to be wary of the personality of the former Governor which it described as a man of unsteady character.
According to Nwebonyi, “The former Governor who is now over 80 years of age had lost honour and respect among the political class and in the political arena of the state because of his self-imposing nature.
