Enugu – Chief Fidelis Ani, the new Chairman of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area in Enugu state, on Wednesday assured the people of the area of all-inclusive rural transformation.
Ani, who made the promise in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu, said his administration would also focus on “sustainable and equitable development’’ of the area.
He further said his administration would work in synergy with all progressive individuals, with idea or project that would benefit the generality of the people.
“I will synergise with various stakeholders and arms of government toward a sustainable and equitable development of Uzo-Uwani.
“My administration will consider all shades of opinion before making critical policies and enforcement that will touch the lives of the people.
“We will also maintain peaceful environment to attract investors and ensure the growth of businesses in the area,’’ he said.
According to him, all sections of the area are free to make useful and practically suggestions and ideas that will move the council forward.
Ani, who acknowledged the progress made by previous administrations of the council assured of improvement.
“We need the virtues of understanding and brotherliness to enthrone peace and unity which will be of great benefits to our people.’’ (NAN)
