VIDEO: Troops eliminate 38 Boko Haram fighters, lose 5 Soldiers in Damboa

In what looked like a tactical operation, the troops have eliminated 38 Boko Haram terrorists who attempted attack a in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State on Sunday evening. Five soldiers, however, were during the incident.

A top military intelligence officer told PRNigeria the bodies of the terrorists were recovered during a mopping-up operation. The source said: “ can confirm you the tactical joint operation involving the ground troops and the air component successfully eliminated scores of Boko Haram terrorists who attempted attack a military post.


“While the ground troops fought them with superior weapons for more than two hours, fighter helicopters the air tactical unit of the eliminated fleeing terrorists. So far, we have recovered gun trucks, RPG and sophisticated weapons the terrorists.”


Meanwhile, an earlier report (SITREP) sighted by PRNigeria, disclosed 22 terrorists were by troops of 25 Brigade of the Army, while the helicopters of the provided air cover and medical evacuation for the troop.

The intelligence report which was accompanied with images and video of the military operation, further disclosed that two soldiers were injured while five others were in action. “The troops morale and fighting efficiency remain satisfactory,” the report concluded.
