He said the organisation currently operates in 25 schools in two local government areas of the state with emphasis on mathematics and science subjects. The VSO, he added, would soon increase its presence to 35 schools in the state in order to achieve better results,. Das commended the state government for its commitment to the provision of qualitative education in the state. Ahmed, in his remarks, said the slow pace of development in Nigeria could be attributed to the deficit in human capital development. The governor also noted that one of the challenges in the teaching sector was getting the right teachers . Ahmed said his administration had reviewed the school curricular while emphasis was now on human capital developmental and skilled workforce. (NAN)
