Yola – The West African Seasoning Company Limited has donated assorted foodstuff and detergents to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Adamawa.
Mr Nworah Peter, the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communication/Regulatory Department of the firm, made the presentation in a ceremony at the Damare Camp in Yola,
He said the gesture was part of the company’s complementary effort in catering for the IDPs.
Peter said the company shared in the trauma of the displaced persons and would continue to contribute its quota in supporting them.
In his response, the NEMA Team Leader, Mr Daniel Atabo, lauded the effort of the company and assured that the agency would ensure the utilisation of the items for the purpose intended.
In his remarks, representative of the IDPs, Alhaji Modu Goni, thanked the company for the gesture and urged others to emulate it.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
Goni also lauded government, NGOs and philanthropists for their continuous support to the IDPs since the insurgency crisis started. (NAN)
