The top 10 that many husbands “think” their wives wished they did more of.
- Sex. I mean the more the better. Surely she’s ready for it 24/7 like I am. And thinks about it like, oh, every 2 minutes like I do. Even when she’s exhausted. The more the better, right?
- Educating her. Especially when we’re arguing. She’s just waiting for me to explain why my perspective is logically superior. Then she’ll thank me for enlightening her, right?
- Time together. Especially on weekends. She’s been waiting all week just to hang with me. You know serving snacks while the guys watch NFL. Going to car shows. Time together is important, right?
- Sharing expenses. She buys the groceries and clothes. I buy a new hunting rifle and sports equipment. She loves to shop so I let her. At the grocery store and pharmacy. Win, win, right?
- Taking charge. Of well, like everything. Where we spend money. Take vacations. Live. Work. I’m the leader of our home. She really respects my leadership, right?
- Time apart. We all need time apart. I go drink beer and watch the game on the big screen with my buds. She takes care of the kids. Makes her really appreciate our times together more, right?
- Conversation. We need to talk to keep our relationship strong. So I tell her what I want. She agrees. End of discussion. Conversation is good for our relationship, right?
- Reminders. When we argue I remind her of previous arguments. I show her how she was wrong before and is again. It saves a lot of arguing time that way, right?
- Teasing. She always laughs when I tease her. Especially about her weight. Particularly after just giving birth. Always funny. Hey, laughing is good for a marriage, right?
- Romance. Ok, well I know she likes this. I bought her flowers. On Valentines Day. Well, I know it wasn’t more than 5 years ago. I don’t want to overdo it. Be a man’s man, right?
And no I haven’t made all those mistakes. Thankfully, only a few.
And I learned to do the opposite. Quick. Which is why we’re still married.
Oh, and have a lot more of #1.
Marriage is a relationship. You get to choose which kind.
