Ilorin, – A housewife, Amudalat Omotosho, on Thursday, approached an Area Court in Ilorin, seeking to divorce her husband, Busari Murtala, over his alleged irresponsible act and frequent beating.
Omotosho told the court that her husband had refused to take responsibility for the feeding and upkeep of the family and that he always beat her anytime they had misunderstanding.
She prayed the court to dissolve the marriage, with a request for the custody of their four-year-old son.
The plaintiff also wanted her husband to be paying N15,000 monthly for their child’s feeding and upkeep and also take care of his hospital bill in case of any illness.
The Presiding Judge, AbdulQadir Ibrahim, said that the plaintiff should produce two witnesses to justify her claims and ordered that the husband be properly served.
Ibrahim adjourned the till May 9 for continuation of hearing. (NAN)
