Abuja – Africa’s first female skeleton athlete Simidele Adeagbo says she is training hard ahead of her game at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics on Friday.
Adeagbo, who is in South Korea alongside the Nigerian bobsled team, took to her Instagram page @simisleighs on Monday to state her level of preparations.
“Am training hard and getting ready to compete on the world’s biggest stage on Friday, 20:20 Korean time and Saturday same time.’’
Adeagbo, a former track and field athlete, took to her Olympic dream only six months ago.
She has been drawing inspiration from the trio of Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga who make up the bobsled team.
